The two become inseparable, but everything changes when Zelda hits puberty; she vanishes and doesn't show up at school. Link tries to contact and find her, but no luck. Five years later, Link is a 16-year-old man with severe depression and a Hero chosen by the Master Rifle. He is still in love with Zelda and thinks about her every second of his life. One day, Link saves a woman from the Yiga clan members, and that woman turns out to be Zelda. She tells him about where she has been for the past five years, and once Link finds out the truth, he dedicates his days to helping Zelda feel safe and happy again away from her selfish, rich father Rhoam and her forced fiance, Ganondorf. While Link and Zelda try to save themselves from the abuse, an evil prince from another country declares war on Hyrule in hopes of annexing the kingdom, and Link must go to war, leaving Zelda. Author's Notes: I'm a big fan of the Zelda series, having grown up in the 90's OOT kick-started my love for gaming and adventure. However, as I have grown older, I have found myself really wanting the series or even Link to mature as I have matured. Instead of waiting and hoping, I decided to pour my dreams for this franchise into a series of books. This is book one of my series. Although the goddess had first planned to have the hero do his journey alone, she took sympathy for him and decided to create him a partner, one that would aid him during the dangerous travels to the Divine Beasts and finally, Calamity Ganon. That was your purpose. 100 years passed since the defeat of the Champions, although one remained. The one you were to help once he awoke from his slumber. Link. // This is a story entirely based on the game BOTW. Although a few changes will be made the overall story line will be game-based.
